Alter bag

The Alter bag was a reaction to the frustrating gap between the usefulness of a backpack and the handy, lightweight nature of a tote bag.

The Alter bag is a heavy-duty tote bag with two straps which can be rearranged to create a variety of different modifications. It works as a regular tote; it can become a backpack, perfect for carrying heavier items like records, books or groceries; it can be a shoulder bag with single or x-straps, etc. And it fits in a coat pocket.
